Thailand: A Party Haven THAILAND

DUBAI was our first stop thanks to a 12 hour layover. My trip to Thailand was specifically a celebratory tour with some friends for my 30th birthday so we used our time wisely: we went straight from the airport in Dubai to the “ZERO GRAVITY BEACH CLUB”. Fortunately for us it was a Tuesday - “Ladies Day” - so all girls entered for free! We spent the day dancing and drinking in the very hot sun with a pit-stop tour of the Burj Al-Arab on our way back to the airport for our flight to continue. Mission accomplished.

BANGKOK, the first real stop of my trip and we decided to spend 3 days in this crazy capital. Our hotel was very nice and cheap and just a few minutes walk from lots are bars and restaurants. We went for a nice dinner at the "Rama8 Chim Chum" restaurant - a big open style terrace - just on the Chao Phraya river and in front of the Rama VIII Bridge. The day after we chose to visit The Grand Palace Temple but there are many different ones, unfortunately not enough time to see them all. Don’t forget to go with long trousers and the shoulders covered up, anyway they don’t let you in. The temple was stunning with many different buildings to enjoy and an area to pray while lighting up candles.

You can’t not see the really famous Kaho san Road: a very busy street full of bars, shops and particular vendor desks, if you’re brave enough you can choose between roasted scorpions, tarantulas and other bugs.  We spent our evening in one of the most famous skyscrapers, which you might know from "The Hangover" movie; THE STATE TOWER: Obviously we got to our destination trying one of the plentiful Tuk-Tuks, the most common Thai transport, just hold on tight and enjoy the loud music and lights. You can go to the rooftop bar or the restaurant and enjoy the beautiful view and lights all over the huge Bangkok. Drinks here were very expensive compared to the Thailand average prices but it is worth the visit!

If you don’t have enough time and you want to check out as much of the city as you can, I suggest to take one of the small boats along the river. For a very cheap price they will drive you all along Bangkok, you can do shopping on the vendors boats that will come next to you trying to sell souvenirs. On the riverside you will definitely notice the variety of residences, among poor areas, old and broken houses and people swimming and playing in the river and just after posh and elegant villas , and also many beautiful Buddhist temples all around.

PHUKET was stop number two, and crazier than Bangkok. Just over 1-hour flight from Bangkok, you can choose between many local aeroplane companies with very cheap tickets and travel all around Thailand. Outside the Phuket airport there is a desk you can buy tickets for a private shuttle ticket for Patong, where we had the hotel. PATONG is a long road facing the beaches on one side and on the other side many restaurants, bars, shops and hotels. Definitely you will have the best time and fun in BANGLA ROAD: an agglomeration of loud clubs and bars, drunk people dancing and having fun.

We had an unforgettable night at THE ILLUZION club. Free entry again and this time to one of the biggest clubs in south east Asia. Around Patong you can enjoy beautiful beaches, such as the elephant beach, and beach parties with good music and drinks looking at the sunset.

PHI PHI ISLAND was our next location after a few days respite in Patong. The island is a pure paradise in the Andaman Sea, small but full of things to do. We spent a week in the “Phi Phi Don Chukit resort” , very cheap and central and included a very nice breakfast area with an infinity pool. Definitely go to Paradise beach, you can get there either walking through the forest or by boat, with both you will enjoy the view! Perfect for fun and for young people, you can’t not try the beach parties in the evening: many bars all next to each other, with different music, funny games and entertainment full of people dancing on the sand until 1pm. During the day you can go to visit the monkey beach or walk up to the highest island point, experiencing a hike in the jungle, you will enjoy the view of all the island and you will obviously take perfect pictures.

If you want to have an unforgettable holiday including fun, parties , nature , tropical vibes , paradise beaches and a taste of a typical crazy Asian city without spending a fortune, go to Thailand!
